the last 31 days of the year - of the decade! the last chance to make this year what i want it to be. it's also the time to begin looking forward and planning my goals for the new year. who do i want to be? what do i need to change? what fun things do i want to do, places i want to go next year?

less than 60 days left in the year! time really does seem to just fly by. as i get ready to close out another year, i like to take a look back at the previous year and see what i've accomplished (if anything), what's realistic for the last few months, and what will likely be carried over to the next year. BUT, i don't want to get too far ahead of myself and miss the last two months! here's what's on tap for november:

October 2019.

This year is flying by! It's hard to believe it's already October! September feels like a blink - minus the terrible heat we've had in North Carolina with temps still into the high 90's. It's supposed to drop to more seasonable temperatures (70's) this weekend, which will be great.

This month, I am planning to make some serious progress on the upstairs...changing out the wardrobe will help calm everything down since it essentially hogged the guest room for the past 6-8 months. *hand covering face* I finally want to get more art hung and start gathering items for a potential yard sale. Also this month, I have some financial decisions to make and some fun planned for Halloween weekend which happens to be ECU's Homecoming -- I'm my bestie's +1 for her reunion. :)

October 4-6

Just like that July is over and August is here. This summer is flying by! The goal is to finish all my house projects by the fall so I can reapply for my certification exam, then start studying/getting organized for the next one as soon as possible.

AUGUST 1-31
2-4: Work on the office - Rearrange furniture, install swing-arm sconce, hang art/+, organize closet, vacuum; Remove painters tape, hang small mirrors (3) in stair nook; Clean out/clean the fridge & freezer; Clean master bathroom, top to bottom. **CrossFit Games**
Fun: Maybe out on Saturday night

9-11: Work on guest bedroom - Fold/organize/store fall & winter wardrobe, organize closet, hang art/+, vacuum.
Fun: Spray Tan + SAR at WW on 8/9

16-18: Continue to work on guest bedroom/closet

23-25: Clean guest bathroom - Fill old anchor holes, install shelving, organize cabinet, clean the bathroom, top to bottom, hang b/w curtains,

July 2019.

Just like that the year is half over. It's July. I had a brief vacation & took 3 glorious days off from work. I went down to the beach to see my best friend for a couple days and then enjoyed a long weekend. It was great. The timing worked out so that when I came back, it was a 4-day work week with the 4th of July holiday. Needless to say, the next 2 months until Labor Day are going to D-R-A-G!

I decided to take a break from studying and did not apply for the next cycle of exam windows, to take the test in November. I have a lot to do with my house -- my guest room is..not available for guests. :-/ I want to hang my art collection, paint the garage and get organized. I'm hoping maybe I would have a garage sale or something late summer/early fall to try to sell versus just donate my "good stuff." I'm really hoping to make the most of the summer (what's left of it) and get my mind right to reapply and then study for the certification exam. I'm also considering some courses at a local university.

Other plans for the month? My family has two birthdays to celebrate - my sister turns 42 and my nephew turns 5.

July 5-7: Hang art in living room; Pick up downstairs; Laundry; Celebrate my sister's birthday; Reapply my tan ;)

July 12-14: (Pay Day) Tennis with my mom;   Vacuum stairs; Reapply my tan :)

July 19-21: Celebrate my nephew's birthday; Paint stair nook; Clean the floors downstairs; Reapply my tan; Tennis with my mom
