i am afraid i don't have anything exciting to report, but i thought i'd update nonetheless. last week i had my interview in beaufort (which went well, i think..but now i'm starting to think i may have been too confident?!), met my sister for pedi's & my mom for lunch on tuesday (followed by some shopping at cameron village & finding my grandma's birthday present at ttc), and the remainder of the week was filled with some laziness and working on the house. tax day, i worked on the bonus room..and was able to move some of my stuff upstairs--including my futon. that was tough, but i got it up the stairs all by myself. call me wonder woman! :) unfortunately, the layout from last week just isn't doing it for me..so this afternoon, i'll be re-overhauling the space.
saturday, hannah and i drove up to richmond for jackie's baby shower. it was fun...just far enough to feel like a road trip. it was so good to see her and her family..she's 34 weeks..so not long 'til baby brown arrives (they're having a boy). it's the first baby of our little group..so i spoiled him a wee bit more than i would if there were more babies between the 5 of us.
i went out saturday night. a friend of mine from charlotte was in town for a group birthday party (bar crawl/bar golf), and he invited me out. it was fun...and it cured my itch to get out of the house past 10pm. ha! it was an older crowd, so i was even able to do a little networking... :)
well, on the job front...i am waiting to hear about the tech job (i should hear by tomorrow), there's a job in virginia i am going to send a packet to tomorrow, and a new job posted from illinois (about 30mi. west of chicago) that i want to apply for as well. so, we shall see. hopefully, something will come along soon.....
